Chelsea News: Eden Hazard opens up and sends message after poor season!
Ex-Chelsea star Eden Hazard has admitted his first season at Real Madrid has been bad.
Hazard was constantly linked with a move to Madrid but we did not want to sell their star player during any point of his Stamford Bridge career, but we were forced to sell the Belgian last summer or risk losing him for nothing.
Madrid then came calling and paid a massive £80 million to secure his deal, despite the fact that his contract was up at the end of this season. But despite all the hype surrounding his move to Madrid, it has not been the start to life that many expected.
Injuries, lack of fitness and his inability in front of goal, in which he has only netted once this campaign, has meant that there are little rumours that Madrid may give up on the Belgian and could sell on, if there is a chance to sign either Kylian Mbappe of Neymar from PSG.
But Hazard, who netted 21 goals in his final season, has opened up and admitted that he is looking ahead to the next one after his stuttering start, He told Belgian broadcasterRTBF>: “My first season at Madrid has been bad – but not all of it.
“It’s been a season of adaptation. I’ll be judged on the second one. It’s up to me to be in good shape next year.
“The group is good; it’s been a great experience for me. I still have four years on my contract.”
