Hazard stuns fans and announces ‘perfect farewell’ and Chelsea given green light to sign £100m Brazilian

Chelsea have been handed a massive boost in their chase to sign Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho.

With all the speculation linking star man Eden Hazard with a big summer move to Real Madrid, we will be in desperate need of adding a world class replacement to the squad to help score and create the kind of goals that the Brazilian normally gives the squad.

Now we have been handed a boost in their pursuit of the Brazilian star, after President Josep Bartomeu admitted that they are looking to offload a number of players, while also admitting that they are looking to seal a few transfer deals.

Speaking in the wake of Barcelona’s loss to Valencia, Bartomeu said on Sky Sports: “The season ends with the La Liga title. It wasn’t to be in the Copa del Rey and we keep moving forward.

“Every year new players come in. So far we have confirmed De Jong’s signing and now we will work on bringing in others and moving players on, as is normal every summer.

“Now is not the moment to do anything. There are always new signings, but now is not the moment to talk about it.”

Meanwhile, Hazard has claimed beating Arsenal in the Europa league would be ‘the perfect farewell’

His brilliance on the pitch this season has been marred by all the transfer speculation surrounding his future, with the Belgian seeking that ‘dream move’ to sign for Spanish giants Real Madrid and work under idol Zinedine Zidane.

But his sole focus is now on trying to help us win another European trophy and end the season on a high, and has conceded lifting the trophy in Baku would provide a fitting send-off.

“It is a European competition, so for me, for the club, for the manager, for the fans, it is something important,” he said on the Chelsea website.

“When you play a final, it does not matter whether it is the Champions League, Europa League or League Cup, you just want to win, you just want to bring the trophy home and celebrate that.

“When you play for Chelsea at the start of the season, people think about which trophy we can have at the end of May, so this one is the important one.

“We lost the League Cup final, so at the end of the season this is the trophy we can go for.

“I just want to win the trophy, that is it. It does not matter if I score or I do not score. If it is my last game, I hope to bring the trophy.

“Would it be the perfect farewell? Yes.”
