Thank you Eden! Barkley has Hazard message and wants superstar to stay at Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley has thanks Eden Hazard for his kind words and is keen for the superstar to stay at the club beyond the season.

Hazard was heavily linked with a summer move to Real Madrid and seemed destined to pack his bags and sign for the Spanish giants after admitting he is interested in a potential transfer deal.

But Maurizio Sarri worked his magic and convinced Hazard to stay put, and so far the Belgian has started to repay the Italian with some stunning performances which have led to eight goals in all competitions.

But despite admitting that he is torn about signing a new contract, Hazard come out recently and admitted he believes Barkley can become one of the best midfielders in world football if he continues to develop at the club, something the Englishman has thanked him for.

He was quoted on the TalkSport website: “Inspirational.

“He’s a magnificent player you can see with how he started the season and the World Cup he had that [he’s unique]. You don’t get many players like him.

“He’s capable of magic at any moment and to hear the things that he has said it’s great for me to hear a player like that say such great things about me.”

And Barkley then switched his attentions to the future of Hazard, and told the Belgian he wants to play with him for many more years.

He added: “It’s important because he’s been at Chelsea for a long time now and he’s achieved so much. I can’t speak for Eden, he knows in his mind what he wants but I’d love to play with him for many more years ahead.”

Can Barkley reach his potential and will Hazard stay, here is what we think.

Barkley has bags of potential and under the guidance of Sarri we do believe he can achieve great things with the club, he just needs to get over the mental barrier of playing for such a big club like Chelsea.

But do we think Hazard will stay next summer? no I do not think so as the man has already indicated that he wants to sign for Madrid.
