Deal is surely close as Havertz is waiting with Chelsea in talks over Leverkusen fee
Chelsea have opened talks with Bayer Leverkusen regarding Kai Havertz after agreeing personal terms with the wonderkid.
The Premier League season is over and we have managed to secure themselves a Champions League spot for next season, meaning that Frank Lampard will be able to get the players that he seemingly desires.
And top of that shopping list of Havertz, who is easily one of the very best players in the Bundesliga and the man that could come in and help take this attack to another level next season.
Recent reports have claimed The German playmaker, 21, has to have agreed to a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge with the deal now “close”.
We have now bid a rumoured £73million plus add-ons in order to convince the Bundesliga side to sell their prized asset, and European transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed Havertz is now simply “waiting” for the two clubs to negotiate a fee…
Romano tweeted: “Official talks started between Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen for Havertz.
“Chelsea want to complete the deal soon but would pay £73m fee only including add ons.
“Talks on to find an agreement. Personal terms agreed weeks ago. Kai is waiting.”
Havertz is a top-class midfielder and we cannot wait to see this announcement get made as he will be a quality signing for the club and one that will help take the club back towards that Premier League title.
So hopefully the deal goes through and the announcement is sooner rather than later, because these rumours have been going on for weeks now
