Chelsea are closing in and are in the home straight with the Kai Havertz transfer deal, according to reports.
We moved early in the window to secure deal for Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, who are considered two of the most attacking players in Europe right now, and Havertz is expected to be the final piece of the attack next season.
However, there has been constant reports in the media which have suggested that the two clubs are too far apart in trying to agree a fee for the player, with our club valuing the German at £70 million, While Bayer value him at £90 million.
However, according to Goal reporter Kevin Palmer, the final touches are now being applied to a possible transfer deal and we are in the home stretch in terms of completing a transfer deal.
He tweeted: “Chelsea are in the ‘final stages’ of negotiations over a deal for Kai Havertz.
“Discussions are focusing on the structure of performance related payments.
“It seems like this is a deal edging towards to a conclusion.”

There has been so many reports surrounding a possible deal that we all do not know which ones to believe, but if he is close to a move to the Bridge, he will be a very exciting signing for the club.
He is already quality and has the potential to be a superstar, so of course we would be welcoming that kind of player to the club.
But hopefully a deal can be concluded sooner rather than later guys
