Chelsea have been told Kai Havertz’s valuation will NOT drop because of the impact of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The season is still in full swing and there is a lot of time between now and the summer to discuss possible targets for Frank Lampard, but that has not stopped all the speculation linking the club with a £100 million move for Bundesliga sensation Havertz.

Havertz has become one of the most sought after players in the game, as he has scored 20 goals and provided four assists in all competition this season, meaning that this will be his most productive campaign to date.

Lampard knows that with the likes of Willian heading out of the club and winger Pedro almost certainly on his way too, he will need to spend some big money and try to find a long-term replacement who he can mould into the perfect player.

It is believed that he will cost less that that £100 million price tag and WE will only need to pay around £87 million to complete a possible transfer deal, and now they have been told that asking price will not drop.

The club’s chief executive Fernando Carro told Sky Germany: “Kai is a top player. “Top players remain valuable because there are not many of them. I assume that the market value losses will not be reflected in the transfer fees for top players.”

The midfielder recently come out and admitted that he is ready to take that next step.

“I’m ready to take a big step, and I like challenges. For me, this also includes abroad,” Havertz told Sport BILD

“Leverkusen are a great club, I feel good. I have always said that. But, of course, I want to take the next step in my career at some point. That’s my ambition”
