Chelsea told £200 million striker ‘at a crossroads’ with Lampard seeking to do mega deal
Teddy Sheringham has claimed England captain and Chelsea target Harry Kane is at a “crossroads” in his career regarding rumours of leaving the club.
Regarded as one of the best strikers in the game right now and one of the main reasons why Tottenham are such an exciting team to watch, there has been alot of speculation in the media over the past few days about the future of the England International.
Kane has not won any trophies just yet and with Spurs seemingly heading in the wrong direction under Jose Mourinho, he recently came out and admitted that he may have to leave the club in order to get the success that he is looking for, with the Blues keen on a deal
Sheringham told the Football show: “You have to look at Tottenham and where they are. When I was there, the ambition had been sucked out of the club, it wasn’t going places, but now they’re challenging for things and in the top four.
“Harry’s got to weigh up his situation, does he want to leave? Are top players going to be coming in, or does he have to go elsewhere to play with top players.
“At the moment, I would say his career at Tottenham, I know they haven’t won anything, but it’s been steadily going forward. It might be at a crossroads now, and if not this year, but if they don’t look like they’re going forward or win anything in the next year, there could be changes.
“Harry’s only got one career, and he wants to win things. We’ll see what happens with that, but my advice would be you only get one career, make sure you make the most of it.”
I would love Kane at the Bridge and we are hoping that his next move will be across London
