Chelsea transfer news: Big transfer announcement means Blues can complete massive £150 million Kane deal?
Chelsea target Harry Kane has spoken out and says he is prepared to leave if the team does not progress.
We may have Tammy Abraham as the clubs number one striker, but with constant reports suggesting that both Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi may leave the club in the summer, it will mean that Frank Lampard will need to sign a top-class forward.
Lampard knows that he needs to improve the side, he knows that he needs to add some superstar players to the side, and he also knows that adding a striker to the squad that could give him 30,40 or even 50 goals a season is just the thing he needs to get the club back challenging for all the major titles, with Kane on the shopping list.
With Spurs likely to miss out on Champions League football again this season, recent reports have claimed the England captain is unsure as to whether he will be able to take his career to the next level in North London under Jose Mourinho, and has been considering his long-term future at the club for some time now.
He has come out and alerted us by admitting that he will leave the club in the coming windows if the team does not start progressing, he told Sky Sports:: “It’s one of those things, I couldn’t say yes, I couldn’t say no. I love Spurs, I’ll always love Spurs. But it’s one of those things – I’ve always said if I don’t feel we’re
progressing as a team or going in the right direction, then I’m not someone to just stay there for the sake of it
“I’m an ambitious player, I want to improve, I want to get better, I want to become one of the top, top players.
“It all depends on what happens as a team and how we progress as a team. So it’s not a definite I’m going to stay there forever – but it’s not a no either.”
