Chelsea handed chance to sign record-breaking Bundesliga superstar
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says Robert Lewandowski’s future is “open”, with Bayern Munich yet to open talks with the Chelsea target
Lewandowski is one of Europe’s elite goalscorers and has unsurprisingly attracted interest from some of the continent’s biggest clubs over the past few seasons as he continues scoring goals for fun
The 32-year-old striker netted 41 league goals in the 2020/21 season for Bayern to break Gerd Muller’s Bundesliga record, which had stood for 49 years, but there has been alot of speculation regarding the players future
Lewandowski’s Allianz Arena contract runs until 2023. And club chiefs are hopeful he will stay and finish his career at the club, despite the fact that talks have not been opened for the striker
It is no secret that we will be looking to add a striker to that attack in the summer, and despite his age, Lewandowski is a man that continues to score goals on a weekly basis.
Now, amid all the speculation, Romano has opened up and claimed that Lewandowski wants to sort out his future in the near future, meaning a contract extension or a summer exit from the German giants.

Lewandowski may be coming towards the back-end of his playing days, but he still a goal-scoring machine that is still valued at over £50 million, so if the club want to sign a striker that can bang in the goals for the next two years, Lewandowski is their man
So even though Bayern do not want to lose the player right now, the right offer from the club could get a transfer deal done, especially as the Poland star would be open to a fresh challenge in the Premier League.
