Haaland has special Lampard message with Chelsea keen on possible deal
Erling Haaland has chosen Frank Lampard as the former player he would most like as a teammate, with Chelsea keen on the young man.
Now Look, Frank Lampard has one of the most exciting and dynamic sides in the Premier League and with the right signings in the summer, could become real contenders for that Premier League title next season, especially if they manage to land a new striker.
We all know that Tammy Abraham has been brilliant for us this season and is leading the line well, but Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi can be hit and miss, meaning that Lampard will need to delve into that transfer kitty and land a striker, a forward that can bang in goals on a weekly basis.
Many fans will have their favourite on who we should sign in the summer to improve this squad, but we believe that a £100 million move to sign up the Bundesliga sensation Haaland, would be a move worth making, but there has been a feeling that Dortmund do not want to sell their big man.
However, away from the transfer speculation, Haaland was asked by ESPN who he would most like to line-up with from the game’s past.
With everyone from Pele to Diego Maradona available to the teenager, he instead plumped for an Englishman and current Premier League manager in the form of Lampard, and It was a quickfire interview so the striker could not expand on his point, but it clearly shows he holds the Blues boss in the highest of regards.
The 19-year-old striker has enjoyed a phenomenal striker, firstly for Red Bull Salzburg and latterly for Borussia Dortmund, who he joined in January, as the Norwegian scored 29 goals in 27 games in the first half of the season and has made the step-up in competition impressively, netting 12 times in 11 matches since joining Dortmund.
