Chelsea will get chance to sign £100M man in summer window

CHELSEA FC will be given the chance to sign Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes – if you believe the latest reports.
Since their Saudi Arabia takeover, the Magpies have been very careful to make sure they do not breach FFP rules and invite any unwanted scrutiny, but The Magpies could be forced to cash in on some of their most prized assets to raise transfer funds for the summer.
After announcing losses of £73.4million, chief executive Darren Eales has hinted that the club may be forced to sell players to continue their recent upward trajectory.
We are a team who could look to take advantage of this situation with a move for Brazilian midfielder Guimaraes – who is easily regarded as one of the best midfielders at the club and one of the best in the Premier League.
He currently has a £100million release clause in his contract and they would be powerless to stop him leaving if they met that.
He joined the club for a reported £40m in January 2022 from Lyon, turning down Arsenal to move to the north east. And the Brazilian has played 87 times for the club and scored 11 goals.

Losing Guimaraes would be a huge blow to Newcastle, who quickly established himself as a fan favourite and a man that Eddie Howe can really rely on – it would be a massive loss if he left the club.
Newcastle want to be a club that is able to challenge for that Premier League title, they want Champions League football every season, but if they have to sell their best players that will never happen.
