Chelsea green light to sign 120M star – Striker DELIGHTED’ to sign up with Blues – Star suited to Chelsea

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys could have missed today –
Academy forward Tyrique George has admitted that he is delighted to have signed a big contract with Chelsea.
He was a regular in Mauricio Pochettino’s side during the second half of the campaign and was named on the bench for the wins over Everton, Aston Villa and Spurs
He has been rewarded with a new contract that will keep him at the club until at least 2027, and he is delighted to have agreed that new contract at Stamford Bridge: ‘I am extremely happy to extend my stay at Chelsea,’ said George, after committing his future to the Blues.
‘I started my journey at the club from a young age, so to be able continue my story and grow in this environment means a lot.
‘It has always been a dream to play for CHELSEA. It is a blessing to extend my stay and to continue playing for the club that means so much to me. I am excited to see what my future holds at this club and make my mark.’
‘It’s been a really good season, filled with lots of squad and personal accomplishments,’ smiled George. ‘Both teams I have played for this season have been successful. We’ve shown high standards in our performances throughout the season, which has been reflected in our results.
‘Over the past season, I feel as if my performance has completely accelerated. I have been involved in more goals and assists this season than in others. My confidence has grown massively.
‘I have been working extremely hard on making sure my final touches are powerful and accurate – and I think it’s paid off.’
‘Starting the season off in the Under-18s, I felt my performance each week was going from strength to strength.
‘I gained more experience on the ball and learned more about tactics and how crucial it is to remain spatially aware throughout the fixture.
‘I owe a lot to Hass. He has continued to support me throughout the season in every single way. I always believed I could do it, and he makes those beliefs come to life.
‘I have worked with Hass for around five years now and he has played an enormous part throughout my CHELSEA journey. He allows me to express myself on the pitch and continues to get the best out of my performance.’
‘I enjoyed stepping up and playing for the Under-21s. Not only was it a new challenge, but it’s that step closer to where I want to be. The game is played with more physicality, so it was another opportunity to improve that area of my performance.
‘The highlight of the season was getting the experience with the men’s team – and what an experience it was. It was a surreal couple of weeks, as it was something I dreamed of since signing my first contract with the club.
‘Although I was fortunate enough to be on the bench for a couple of fixtures, I didn’t get the opportunity to play. But next season, hopefully, it will be a different story. It has given me more ambition and hunger to tick off my target.’
GREALISH CLAIM MADE –
Former England midfielder Chris Waddle believes Jack Grealish is more suited to Chelsea than Arsenal.
Grealish, has failed to lived up to the billing so far and Grealish’s name has been discussed by the board, according to recent reports as they seek to keep on bolstering their squad over the course of the transfer window.
Waddle told Betway: “If you’re buying Grealish, are you buying him as a winger? Tottenham like pace, Jack is not blessed with pace. You’d have to play him in a number 10 role, and they already have James Maddison for that.
“So Spurs no, and I wouldn’t say Arsenal either. Liverpool play a very high tempo game, so I’m not sure about there too. What you’re looking at is, would you play Grealish as a winger or a number 10, or midfield player? If I was buying him I’d be looking to play him in the middle. He does a job on the wing, but wingers create, get round the back, and Jack can’t get round the back.
“Yeah, he doesn’t give the ball away and doesn’t take a lot of risks, gives the side balance. But I think I’d be looking at his old club Aston Villa, I’d be looking to play him in that three in the middle of the park.
‘I’m not sure about Newcastle, they play a high tempo and press. I think he has to go to a side where they are looking to play him as a midfield player.
“CHELSEA could be an outside bet with Gallagher possibly going, you could see him playing that midfield role. He’d be more effective there. He’s got vision, he can see things, he’s good at give and go. But he’s stuck on that wing, you’re thinking there is surely more in his locker.
“So if I was a top club looking for a winger, I’d be looking at players ahead of Grealish.”
CHELSEA FREE TO SIGN OBLAK?
Atletico Madrid have reportedly decided that they will sell long-term CHELSEA target Jan Oblak in the summer transfer window.
The club made some big signings last summer that they believed would help the club challenge for a Champions League spot and maybe add some silverware to the cabinet.
One arrival that was made was that of Robert Sanchez – who was no longer wanted at Brighton and was quickly signed up by the the club as they were desperate to add a new stopper to the side.
He has been a massive part of that side this season – but he is not seen as a man that is good enough to play for one of the big Premier League clubs and has really struggled to impress.
That has led to alot of speculation in the media that we will once again delve into that transfer kitty and add a new goalkeeper to the side, and Oblak has been a name that the club have been linked with for the last few years.
With the sporting management headed by Carlos Bucero and Andrea Berta, Atlético intends to carry out a renewal focused on lightening the economic burden of the team, and Oblak, with one of the highest salaries, is in the spotlight.
Despite having a contract until 2028 and a release clause of 120 million euros, the club would be willing to consider offers for the goalkeeper, according to the latest reports that are coming out of Spain.
