Chelsea given opportunity to sign Varane for less than £100 million?

chelsea, varane

Chelsea have the opportunity to sign Raphael Varane for well below £100million, according to stunning reports.

It is no secret that Frank Lampard have brought in players over the last transfer window that have added both quality and ability to the squad, and this defence is looking alot more solid now that Thiago Silva is in the squad.

However, the Brazilian is not going to be able to pay every game of the week, he is not going to be at the club in the long-run and although Both Antonio Rudiger and Kurt Zouma have improved, Silva cannot keep helping the club keep clean-sheets.

That means that we will need to delve into that transfer kitty once again in the coming windows and try to add a new defender to the back-line, a defender that has already proven himself at the highest level of the game like Silva, and a player that is considered world class.

And Varane has been one player that the club have been trying to sign for the last few seasons, bit his high valuation has meant that a deal has been able to get done as Madrid have been seeking well over £100 million for the World Cup winner.

However, the Manchester Evening News claim Los Blancos would be open to selling the Frenchman in the coming transfer windows, and the Spaniards may even be open to the idea of letting him leave for less than £100 million.

Zinedine Zidane needs to freshen up the squad with some big time signings, but the COVID-19 outbreak is restricting the business of Madrid and they may need to sell in order to raise funds.

If reports are true, we would love the guy here!
