Chelsea green light to sign in-demand powerhouse Given!
CHELSEA are reportedly leading the race to sign Ivan Toney after it was claimed that Arsenal have made a big transfer decision
The Gunners spent heavily in the summer transfer window, breaking their own transfer record to sign Declan Rice from West Ham for a fee which could eventually rise to £105 million, while Goalkeeper David Raya, defender Jurrien Timber and the versatile Kai Havertz took Arsenal’s spending over the £200m mark.
According to recently reports on TEAMtalk,Arsenal are favourites to land Toney as they look to add a notable striker to Mikel Arteta’s squad, and the 27-year-old is believed to be a “huge fan” of the North Londoners.
This has “put Arsenal on the front foot in discussions” to sign the England international ahead of us, but that no longer seems to be the case if you believe the latest reports in the media.
According to reports in Spain cited by Goal, the north London side are “interested in Toney” but are unwilling to match the Bees £65m asking price in the January window, opening the door for the club to make a move.

Arsenal have been making some great signings over the last couple of transfer windows, but they are lacking that one striker that has the ability to score goals for fun and Toney could be that man.
If they sign the powerhouse, they will win that title over Man City. So if the reports are true and they have made the decision not to make a move for the man, it is great news for us.
