Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today from icchelseanews….

Chelsea believe they will sign Cystal Palace star Michael Olise as he is leaning towards a move to Stamford Bridge.

The transfer window is just a few weeks away and although the Blues are still looking to hire a new manager – there is still alot of transfer speculation surrounding the club and players that they could sign.

Olise enjoyed a productive season with Crystal Palace despite only playing 19 Premier League games due to an ongoing hamstring injury, as the winger struck 10 goals and provided six assists in the top-flight as Palace finished 10th under Oliver Glasner.

According to respected insider Simon Phillips, Premier League star Michael Olise is leaning toward a transfer to Stamford Bridge over Manchester United, should he leave Crystal Palace this summer.

He stated: “A second source has now added more confidence that Olise will pick CHELSEA over Manchester United, following on from my top source saying that last week. We will have to see how that one unfolds in the next days/weeks.”

Olise is a brilliant player that is ready to make that next step in his career – he is ready to play for one of the big Premier League sides and take his game to another level.

We could be a good option for the player as they need someone like Olise to come in and help that attack – that struggled to impress at times last season.

CHELSEA FREE TO SIGN ABRAHAM –

CHELSEA academy graduate Tammy Abraham is ‘in the frame’ for a shock return to the club, according to recent reports.

Since making the move to Italian football in the summer of 2021 – Abraham has gone on to develop himself as the number one striker at Roma and a man that former boss Jose Mourinho can really rely on.

Now – According to reporter Simon Phillips, Abraham, who was described as ‘Didier Drogba-esque’ by Rio Ferdinand during his time at Stamford Bridge, is potentially still in the frame as the club ramp up their search for a striker.

The club have the option to buy back Abraham for £68 million this summer and believe that he could be the man that would lead that attack under Enzo Maresca.

The Serie A side are also looking to overhaul their attack during the summer transfer window, having decided they have no desire to keep Romelu Lukaku beyond his current loan from CHELSEA.

Among those set to be offloaded, Sky Sport in Italy reports, is Abraham, who has been deemed to fragile to lead the attack after Lukaku leaves

Look, Abraham has done a very decent job at Roma – but he is not good enough to lead the attack here at Stamford Bridge and it would be a risk to bring him back.

There are far better options out there that could make more of an impact on the side.

CHELSEA CONFIDENT ON SESKO SIGNING –

CHELSEA are reportedly very confident that they will sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko this summer window.

Sesko  ended the season in stunning form, scoring or assisting in 13 of the final 16 games of the Bundesliga season, and his release clause increased to €65million (£56m) as a result.

Sesko has also been attracting alot of interest from the likes of Arsenal in recent weeks too – but now, Simon Phillips has claimed on his Substack that we are growing in confidence at their ability to beat rivals to that deal.

He said: “Sesko is our preferred choice of striker target right now due to the lower cost and lower agent fees involved. There’s confidence building around this one, but nothing is done or close yet because Arsenal are also keen.

“I’ve also been told that no final decision has been signed off for the new striker yet, but Sesko is up their with the top priorities for that position.”

If We manage to sign the Bundesliga star – he will be a brilliant addition to the side – it is that simple.

He has all the potential to develop into one of the very best strikers in the game in the coming seasons and for that £43 million, he could be seen as a real transfer bargain.

He would be welcomed here.
