Chelsea free to make move for winger – £60M star tempted by Blues – Chelsea want deal done this week

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icchelseanews that we think you guys may have mised –
Aston Villa have been warned about losing CHELSEA linked Ollie Watkins in the January transfer window, as he would be tempted by a move to Stamford Bridge
The west Midlands club would ideally like to extend Watkins’ contract at Villa Park, which is set to expire in the summer of 2025 unless a new deal is signed over the coming years.
The forward is said to have a market value of just £60million, which could represent a bargain for us if the club manage to agree a deal at that price in the near future.
The club were widely tipped to push for the signing of a new centre-forward before the new Premier League campaign gets underway, having lacked an out and out striker for much of last season, but they failed to get any big deals done.
And Watkins, who has established himself as one of the Premier League’s most feared attackers in recent seasons and scored 16 goals in all competitions for Villa last time around, is a player that the Blues are reportedly interested in signing.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
Reporter Iomie Stanley has said that Villa will “do well” to keep hold of the forward amid interest from one of the big clubs, as Watkins would be tempted by a move to Stamford Bridge.
He Said: “Strikers are always at such a premium, and especially a forward that has been impressing like Watkins.
“Some of the top clubs, whether Villa like or not, can poach those players. Ollie Watkins has a good head on his shoulders. He works hard for the team – and his ability in front in goal is up there with some of the best in the League.
‘If Chelsea actually make a move for the man and offer the £60 million that Villa currently value Watkins at – it will be very hard for him to turn down such a move.
‘Villa are on their way up – have a world class manager and have signed some big players – but CHELSEA are already one of the biggest clubs in the game.
‘They will not want to sell their star man – but Watkins will definitely be tempted by a move to Chelsea.’
CHELSEA WANT SARR DEAL DONE –
CHELSEAare ready to let defender Malang Sarr leave the club with several clubs in Turkey monitoring his situation.
The talented defender came to Stamford Bridge with alot of hop that he could develop into one of the very best defenders in the game – but he has not been given the game time needed for that to happen – and he has been a bit of a flop.
He spent last season out on loan with French giants Monaco – but the Ligue 1 outfit opted against giving him a permanent move to the club and sent him packing back to Stamford Bridget.
But Sarr is completely out of the picture at the club and has not made a single matchday squad this season.
The former France Under-21 star could now seal another loan exit with the transfer window in Turkey still open until 15 September, with a number of clubs reportedly interested in a deal according to Football Insider.

Maybe Sarr was never meant to come to the Premier League – or maybe he joined the wrong club – but right now – this is the best option for the lad as he needs game time.
His dream to make it at Stamford Bridge is over – he is not part of the plans at the club and will only get game time if there is a number of injuries ahead of him, so if a club does come forward, he needs to leave.
So even though it is a shame that he may go, it is probably the best thing right?
SANCHO WANTS MOVE –
Jadon Sancho will reportedly push for a transfer away from Manchester United in January, alerting the likes of CHELSEA.
On the back of his £75 million ($94m) arrival from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in 2021, the highly-rated wideman has registered just 12 goals through 82 appearances and failed to impress like many had hoped.
It is suggested that the working relationship between the England international winger and his coach Erik Ten Hag has completely broken down at Old Trafford. With there seemingly no way back, a move that suits all parties.
Sancho’s publicly hit back against United boss Erik ten Hag and insisted he had been made a ‘scapegoat’ following criticism for failing to reach the required performance in training.
The Daily Star reporting that a loan deal in January is considered to be the most likely option, with that agreement including the option for a permanent transfer to be pushed through in the summer of 2024.
Amid all the speculation, England boss Gareth Southgate attempted to provide the Man City academy product with a boost of confidence, Discussing Sancho’s international future with England, the Three Lions boss said: ‘I think that’s the challenge for him now.
‘It’s been the best part of a couple of years since we worked with him, it’s difficult to say exactly the position that he finds himself and where he is with it all.
‘But for every player that’s not with us, there is always an opportunity if they can seize the form and have the (right) level of performances,’

He is well down the pecking order at Old Trafford now and a move away may be the best option for everyone involved. But we do believe that a move away from the Premier League may be the best option.
Sancho is not made for the English game and will have much more success if he makes the move back to the Bundesliga, heads to Spain or makes a move to Italian football.
