Boss Frank Opens up about Chelsea’s reported contract talks with £40 million rated winger

Thomas Frank has poured cold water on speculation that Chelsea have opened talks with star Brentford player Said Benrahma.

There has been some big reports in the media over the past few days which have claimed that we are interested in signing the impressing winger when the transfer window opens up in just a few weeks time.

But after reports emerged suggesting that we were already negotiating terms with the player’s representatives ahead of making a formal bid, Brentford boss Thomas Frank – dismissed the link as “rumour”.

He said on the SUN: “I haven’t heard anything from my co-directors of sport.

“I don’t know anything and if I haven’t been told anything then I don’t think it’s true. It’s a rumour.

“He’s enjoying his football at Brentford and we’ve a big aim to go for so I think it’s easy to know this isn’t true.”

Of course it is just a rumour, speculation! at the end of the day, Benrahma is attracting all this interest ahead of the summer window, so it will be very interesting to see if we actually make the move for the young man.

He has been impressive this season and netted an impressive 17-goals, so he would definitely bring something to our already top-class attack.
