Former Blues star welcomes potential ‘smart’ Chelsea signing of world class star

Former Blues star Tore Andre Flo feels that AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan is a ‘very smart’ signing for his old club CHELSEA in the summer transfer window.

There have been many reports in the media that we are looking to improve a number of areas in the squad and adding a new stopper to the side is something that will reportedly help us really win that Premier League title.

Robert Sanchez has been a massive part of that side this season – but he is not seen as a man that is good enough to play for one of the big Premier League clubs and has really struggled to impress.

That has led to alot of speculation in the media that we will once again delve into that transfer kitty and add a new goalkeeper to the side, and Maignon is a man that has been linked with a move to London for a while.

And ahead of his possible arrival to Stamford Bridge, Flo has opened up and claimed that Maignan will be a very smart signing from the Blues if they manage to get a transfer deal done this summer.

‘There has been a lot of talk about the goalkeeping position at CHELSEA,’ Flo said. ‘I think it was on the cards that something was going to happen there.

‘It sounds like a good signing to me. A club like Chelsea would improve the squad straight away if there was any doubt [over Robert Sanchez]. To me it sounds very, very smart.’
