CHELSEA could look to sign former Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino on loan in the January transfer window to solve their striker woes.

The club have spent more than any other Premier League club in the transfer market since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital completed a £4billion takeover at Stamford Bridge.

This January window they are expected to once again delve into that transfer kitty and try and add a new striker to that attack – as goals have not be flowing like many had hoped for.

Firmino left Liverpool in the summer as a free agent, bringing his eight-year spell at Anfield to an emotional end. The 32-year-old was a key member of Jurgen Klopp’s squad and was crucial in the Reds’ devastating attacking trio alongside Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

A report from the Evening Standard has now revealed Firmino is available for loan in the winter transfer window. we could take advantage of this opportunity to sign a proven Premier League goalscorer that can help link their attacking talent together.

The Brazilian forward is attracting interest from clubs in the Premier League and Turkey after struggling to adapt to his new club in Saudi Arabia.

Firmino went to Saudi Arabia for the money – but he is clearly not happy and would love a move back to European football.

It is a shock to see that we are linked with a move for the Brazilian star – but with all their top targets seemingly not interested in moving this winter – it could be a decent decision from the club to make a move for the man.
