Chelsea new boy Edouard Mendy has revealed his lifelong love for the Blues after his summer move to the club.
It is no secret that Frank Lampard is fed up with the constant mistakes that Kepa has been making over the past 12 months, and knows that he was unable to challenge for the Premier League title with the Spaniard as his number one.
But after agreeing that massive five-year deal to sign up with the club the stopper has revealed his lifelong love for us, and admitted that he has been a fan of the club since he was a little boy
Speaking on the club website, the goalkeeper said: “I’ve been a Chelsea supporter since I was little. I adore this club.
“When I was 12 I had the chance with a past club I played for to go to Brighton, and we watched a match.
“I thought English football was amazing.
“We went into shop and I saw the Chelsea shirt, this was about 2003 when Ranieri was the manager, and I brought this shirt. So I’ve always liked this club.”
Fans will love that they have signed a player that is an actual fan of the club, that will already give him the fans love.
But now he needs to show just why the club rate him so highly and why they paid £22 million to get a transfer deal done. It is now time to impress on the pitch as many things are expected of the big man.
But again, welcome Edouard
