Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icchelseanews that we think you guys could have missed today –

Pedro Neto is a brilliant signing for CHELSEA this summer after the Blues made a shock move for the Wolves star and agreed to pay £54 million to bring the gifted winger to Stamford Bridge this weekend.

The Portugal international has been at Wolves since 2019 when he signed from Braga, scoring 14 goals in 135 appearances across all competitions and The Athletic report that an initial fee of £51.4m has been agreed, with £2.57m in bonuses to come if the Portuguese winger meets targets.

The 24-year-old has agreed a salary with the west London club and a medical is due in the near future with the deal all but finalised this weekend or early next week, he will be the clubs biggest signing of the summer.

And after the news broke that we are signing the Portuguese star – reporter Iomie Stanley opened up and claimed that fans will be delighted with the news that a proven Premier League player is getting signed by the club, he said: ‘Finally a signing that fans will be happy with.

‘Neto is a quality player that has already proven himself in the Premier League and a man that will be able to make an immediate impact on the Blues side and for Enzo Maresca.

‘He has been ready to make that move to one of the big clubs for weeks now – and even though many are shocked that it is CHELSEA that are completing a deal for the ace – it could be a very smart of business by the Blues.’

EDDIE BEACH DEAL DONE –

CHELSEA goalkeeper Eddie Beach has completed a season-long loan move to League One side Crawley Town, the Blues have announced on the club website after deciding to let the young man leave for the season.

Beach made 11 appearances for the club under-21s in the first half of the 2023-24 season, and was also named on the bench for several men’s first-team squad fixtures. For the second half of the season, the young stopper moved to Gateshead, but his time with the Tynesiders was interrupted due to illnes

The club posted on the club website: ‘Eddie joined the Blues in July 2022 from Southampton and in addition to featuring for our Under-21s, has also spent time on loan with Chelmsford Town and Gateshead.

‘The 20-year-old spent this summer with the senior squad and was included on our tour of the USA. We look forward to seeing and supporting his progress this season.

‘Good luck, Eddie!’

The club have been buying a few stoppers this summer – they already have a number in the side and Beach is a player that will probably not get the game time that he would like in the coming seasons.

He needs to be playing first-team football now and not reserve football – so even though his dream is to feature in that first team – this is probably the best thing for him and his career.

DAVIES GREEN LIGHT GIVEN –

Bayern Munich have made Alphonso Davies available for sale after failing to tie him down to a contract extension, which will put chasing CHELSEA back on alert for a potential deal for the defender.

Alphonso Davies is a player that has the ability to play in a number of positions, and has been on the radar of the club for quite a few seasons, but they have never been able to get a transfer deal done.

However Davies is open to leaving Bayern Munich in the coming transfer windows, a year before his contract expires, and Bayern are open to letting him leave the club, According to Spanish publication Diario AS

The report states that the German giants have given Davies a €50m (£42.8m) price tag. It’s said that Real Madrid and Chelsea remain in a very strong position to secure the Canadian international’s signature – whether it be this month or next summer on a free transfer.

If the reports are true and Madrid have cooled their interest in signing Davies over the summer window – then it will be a massive boost to the club, as we are also keen on the man.

It is no secret that boss Enzo Maresca wants to add a bit more experience to the side when the transfer window opens up and would like to add a proven – versatile and world class player like Davies to the side.
