Chelsea fans told Board will make move to sign striker after Christmas
CHELSEA will reignite their interest in Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran during the January window, and the striker may be open to making the move to Stamford Bridge according to reporter Iomie Stanley.
Duran was a player that we wanted in the summer transfer window and maky believed that he would make the switch to Stamford Bridge – but Villa were asking for far too much money.
But if you believe the words of Stanley – a move could be made in January – he said: ‘The young Colombian has been in scintillating form for Villa this season, showing flashes of his immense potential and drawing attention from top clubs around Europe. Having been linked with Chelsea in the past, Durán’s performances under Unai Emery may push the Blues to consider making a move this winter.
‘Despite heavy spending on attackers in recent windows, Chelsea continue to struggle in the final third. With Nicolas Jackson still finding his feet in the Premier League, Chelsea lack a proven goal scorer capable of leading the line consistently. This has forced the club to explore options for the January window, and Durán could be a perfect fit.
