Chelsea fans react after Blues OFFICIALLY wrapped up £44 million deal
CHELSEA fans have taken to social media after news broke that Portuguese International Joao Felix has now departed the club and make the £44 million move to Saudi Arabia to link-up with Cristiano Ronaldo .
Felix is one of a number of players the club have put up for sale this summer along with the likes of Christopher Nkunku, Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Jackson.
Felix and Chelsea had been in advanced talks with Benfica but the 25-year-old, as the Portuguese giants wanted him back at the club, but he has snubbed his boyhood club in favour of a move to Saudi Arabia.
By joining Al Nassr – in a deal worth around £44m – Felix will link up with his international teammate Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi and will reportedly earn around the £400k-a-week mark.
And as the deal for Felix was announced, the Blues fans expressed their delight on social media, as posted on Goal, the fans said:
An X user named SAM_CRO wrote: “Probably the worst player to wear the shirt. Good riddance.”
Dougmoney said: “He finally found his level, England was way above him. Hope he doesn’t also struggle in the camel’s league. Talent is never enough.”
Joseph D posted: “An excellent example of don’t go back to your ex, no matter how good the memories are.”
Meanwhile, @theadeszn wrote: “THANK YOU JOAO FELIX, YOU WON’T BE MISSED.”
Ansh thanked Chelsea for finally offloading Felix, adding: “Omgggg best bit of business this summer. Thank you for making my day @ChelseaFC by selling, hey ho Felix.”
