Chelsea have reportedly shown interest in Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic as they target alternatives to Harry Kane and Erling Haaland.
With many reports in the media over the past few months which have suggested that Thomas Tuchel is very keen to delve into that transfer kitty and add another striker to the cabinet, there has been some big names linked with a move to the Bridge.
Erling Haaland is one of the most in-demand players in world football after developing into one of the best attackers in the game, while Harry Kane is looking to leave Tottenham in order of search of trophies
However, there could be a cheaper striker arriving at the club in the next couple of months, as we have shown an interest in centre-forward Jovic, although Madrid have yet to receive a concrete offer, AS claims
Madrid signed Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt for £56m in the summer of 2019 after he fired 17 Bundesliga goals the previous season, But he scored just twice in 17 appearances in his first La Liga campaign, and played only five times for Madrid last term amid tough competition for a place in the Los Blancos attack.
Jovic has scored 40 goals in 93 games over his two spells with Frankfurt, having previously played for Red Star Belgrade and Benfica.
Jovic is a very highly-rated striker that has not fulfilled his potential at Madrid, so if he can leave the club and sign for us in order to get some more game time, he should do it.
