Chelsea encouraged to bring impressive Premier League star – leaving leaders in summer

Reporter Iomie Stanley has come out and encouraged the Blues to make a move for Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher at the end of the season, as he looks set to leave Anfield.
The Reds made the big decision in the summer to wrap up the signing of Mamardashvili amid all the speculation over the long-term future of Alisson, who has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia for months.
Kelleher, 25 played in just 10 Premier League games last season and is only being given an opportunity to shine between the sticks for Liverpool because of the injury to Brazilian star Alisson.
It is no secret that we are looking at adding a new stopper to the side in the upcoming transfer window, and now Stanley has opened up and shockingly claimed that the board should raid Liverpool for the 25-year old.
He was quoted: “What was really evident to me so far this season was that CHELSEAs No. 1 isn’t as good as Liverpool’s No. 2. Whenever I see Kelleher play, he looks top drawer.
‘Whenever Kelleher’s in goal and he’s played a lot in the last few months, he never looks out of place when he has to come in for Alisson and do a job.
‘Liverpool don’t look any weaker with him in goal and that is a massive compliment by the way. If you’re a Liverpool fan, I know you’ve got [Giorgi] Mamardashvili coming in, but you don’t want Kelleher to go either. He’s too good to be a No. 2.
‘Chelsea want a proven stopper that will increase in value in the coming seasons, Kelleher could be that man.’
