Chelsea have made contact with Arsenal Under-18’s star striker Khayon Edwards over a transfer in the summer

Edwards has been in the headlines alot over the past few weeks as Arsenal have been trying to hand the exciting young striker a new contract to keep him at the club

He has 17 goals and six assists in 22 games this season at all levels, impressively getting a goal every game in the U18s Premier League, but the Gunners have so far been unable to hand him a new contract

It is unclear why he has been unable to agree anything – but it could be the fact that the club cannot guarantee him a path to the first team like they have with the likes of Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka in recent seasons

There are a number of German clubs watching the teenager closely and considering making a move, but according to reports on the goal website, Chelsea have now made their moves to try and get a transfer deal done

Despite the fact that Chelsea have been unable to conclude any transfer business because of the sanctions on owner Roman Abramovic, that has not stopped all the speculation about what type of platers could be signed by the club

It is very easy to see why Edwards is in the media alot as he really is an exciting young talent.

However, even though Chelsea have a habit of giving young talents a chance in the first team – there are also a number of talents that have just been brought – shipped out and then never seen in that shirt again

Do we need him..no. Would i love to see Arsenal get upset because we signed him – Yes
