However, there has been some big reports in the media over the past few days which have claimed that both Arsenal and Newcastle are ready to swoop in and offer him a big contract in the summer.

However, The Argentina superstar, who was previously linked with Manchester United, is thought to be keen on ignoring the interest from both clubs as he wants Champions League football, which will hand Chelsea a boost

It is no secret that Thomas Tuchel has not been impressed with Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic, who cannot find the back of the net on a weekly basis, and he wants to add some more goals to his attack.

And that has led to many reports that the club will open talks with the players people and try to convince him that a move to Stamford Bridge is the best one for his career.

It is easy to see why so many clubs are interested in a player that would cost around £60 million to sign – so the fact that clubs can get him for free – it will be an interesting one to see just where he ends up.

Chelsea fans cant wait for the takeover of the club as they are sick of all the rumours – but they always get excited when the transfer window opens up as they normally see some big players arrive
