Summer Chelsea signing is welcomed to Stamford Bridge
New CHELSEA star Moises Caicedo has been sent a welcome message by former Blues defender Marcel Desailly.
Caicedo has been the talk of the transfer window for the club over the past few months – as they simply could not agree a deal with Brighton to bring him to London.
However – after seeing Liverpool make a move to try and get a deal done – the board finally gave into the transfer demands of Brighton and agreed a massive £115 million fee for Caicedo.
He made his debut against West Ham at the weekend – although it wasn’t the best start to his new life as he looked well off the pace and a little slow, especially when he gave the penalty away for West Ham to make it 3-1.
But now the former World Cup winner has welcomes Caicedo to Stamford Bridge and told the Ecuadorian that he needs to adjust his mentality due to the size of the club.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: ‘You don’t need to talk about it. We better start to put the mindset into the system, you need to adjust your implication.
“You are at a big club, and in a big club, you need to prepare yourself much better for each game.
“You need to digest the idea of [costing] £115million.
“You need to be committed.”

Caicedo proved last season with Brighton that he is able to compete at the very highest level of the game and that is why the club were so keen to get a transfer deal done.
He is now dealing with a lot of pressure and that £115 million fee does not help – but he will come good!
