Chelsea deal announced! – Board delighted defender has signed up

CHELSEA has confirmed that Richard Olise has signed a new one-year contract with the club, which includes a further year option.
The club are in the headlines this week because they have just decided to get rid of first-team boss Mauricio Pochettino after just one season – but that has not stopped the board from making some decisions about the talents at the club that could develop for the first team – as Olise as now agreed to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge for another season.
The club posted on the website: ‘A calm and composed right-sided defender, Olise joined the Blues as an Under-9 and has progressed through our Academy at Cobham.
‘He made his Under-18s debut during the 2021/22 campaign and featured 16 times last season, including an appearance in the UEFA Youth League against Juventus.
‘The 19-year-old has made the step up to our Under-21s side this term and made ten appearances for Mark Robinson’s side, three of which came in the Premier League 2 playoffs.
‘Congratulations, Richard!’

Olise is a very exciting talent that is impressing those coaches – so the news that he has agreed a new contract at the club will be welcomed that know and manage the lad.
He has a big future in the game and hopefully he is good enough for the first team here in a few seasons.
