World class midfielder ‘would be brilliant signing’ for Chelsea
Chelsea have been told that Frenkie De Jong would be a brilliant signing for the club if Jorginho decides to depart the club
Barcelona are said to have been scanning the market to replace Sergio Busquets in the middle of the park and have reportedly settled on Jorginho, who has played a crucial role for the club since arriving from Napoli in the summer of 2018.
His future has been the subject of speculation – but it has been claimed in recent days that a pre-agreement has been reached with the Spaniards should the star fail to agree a contract at Stamford Bridge
And if you believe the latest reports on Fichajes, – Frenkie De Jong is one player that they may be looking to try and sign.
Now – reporter Iomie Stanley claims he would be a good signing for the club
Stanley told icfootballnews: ‘There is clearly a reason why Barcelona are keen to get rid of De Jong – maybe it is because they simply don’t like him
‘If he does come onto the transfer market – there will be quite a few clubs interested as De Jong is still a top-class midfielder that will bring some top-level experience to any side that he joins.
‘Chelsea already have a number of players in that position – but with injuries and players linked with moves away – De Jong could be a very good addition to that Blues side.
‘And with all the reports which have suggested that Jorginho is open to joining the Spanish giants – the Dutchman could be an ideal signing.’
But considering he did not want to leave Barca in the summer – what would be the point adding a player to the squad that does not actually want to be there?
‘There would be so many risks to this potential deal – but as i said – he would still be a good signing if they were able to get a deal done.’
