Spanish boss opens up and has official transfer message for Chelsea about summer signing

Chelsea have been dealt a transfer blow as Barcelona expect to keep Philippe Coutinho during the summer transfer window

There has been alot of transfer speculation, and we mean alot, over the past few months that we are trying to bring the Brazilian star back to the Premier League, with many reports suggesting that he was done at Barcelona and had no future with the club.

And we stole the march by contacting his agent Kia Joorabchian over the past few weeks, and remain in pole position should Barcelona sell up with his client keen on a return to England after performing at Liverpool.

But Barca coach Quique Setien poured cold water on the speculation by insisting he wants to keep hold of Coutinho – or would sell him but only for a premium price, Speaking to RAC1, the Spaniard said: “I think Coutinho is a great player, I really like him.

“He is still a Barcelona player. You have to pay the clause or pay a sum to Barca.

“I think he can be here at the beginning of next season. I have to talk to him to ask him.”

Look, Coutinho is a man that will not want to sit on the bench over at Barcelona next season and will only stay at the club if he is guaranteed to be playing week in and week out, which the Spanish club probably cannot give him.

If Barcelona want to keep him, they he should stay, but coming to a club where he could play on a weekly basis would be the better decision wouldnt it?
