Bayern boss opens up and leaves Chelsea on alert for Coutinho deal?

Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick remained coy on the chances of Chelsea target Philippe Coutinho staying at the club past the end of his loan deal.

Reports in the media over the past few days have claimed that Barcelona have offered Philippe Coutinho to us ahead of the summer window, as the Spanish giants are keen to get rid of the Brazilian, who has not made the impact that many had hoped when he signed from Liverpool.

However, Bayern may still take up the opportunity to sign up Coutinho in the summer window, as Flick refused to close the door on the chances of Coutinho staying at Bayern as he admitted he wanted to see more of the 27-year-old in action.

Speaking after Munich’s 2-0 win over Union Berlin, he spoke highly of the on-loan star, Flick said on the Daily Express: “I can’t say what will happen with him after the season.

“Philippe is a good guy and an excellent footballer.

“I really enjoy working with him.

“We hope he can be back with us again soon and play some games before the end of the season.”

If Bayern truly wanted to keep hold of Coutinho, they would have agreed something by now, but that has not been the case and all indications suggest that he will be leaving Bayern in the transfer window.

We will need to add a bit more quality to the side, and for the right money, how could we not make an offer to try and bring Coutinho to the Bridge?

We would be massive fools not to make a move if he comes onto the market.

He is a statement signing that we need to bring into the club to challenge for trophies guys!
