Chelsea on hot alert after agent announces Brazilian Coutinho ‘adores’ Premier League

Phillipe Coutinho ‘adores’ the Premier League, his agent has told the likes of Chelsea.

Coutinho made the move to Liverpool just a few seasons ago expecting to be the immediate replacement for Andres Iniesta, but he did not live up to the expectations that Barcelona had of the Brazilian, and there is big speculation that he could be coming back to England.

And amid all the speculation, Kia Joorabchian explained that he and other agents are not sure how the transfer market will progress, but has admitted that Coutinho adores the Premier League.

“Because the Champions League runs until the 23 August, it’s going to be very difficult for players like Coutinho to make any commitments or moves before then,” he said.

“For him to make a commitment is very difficult.

“We’ve not kept it a secret that he wants to come back to the Premier League if he can.

“He adores playing in the Premier League and I think it’s one of his priorities, but he’s also not against staying in Barcelona so it’s very open.

“There’s a lot of genuine interest because he’s a great player, so there’s always interest.”

Asked if it would be a loan or if intersted clubs will be required to pay top money, Joorabchian said the market would dictate.

“I don’t envisage too many deals of that nature – 80 to 100 million. There will be a lot of 10 to 30 or 40million.”

We do not need to sign Coutinho any longer, but if he is on the market, a cheeky offer would be the right one for us to make? there is no harm in it.
