Chelsea told target ready for Premier League move

Chelsea have been told that potential signing Diogo Costa is ready for a move to the Premier League.

The club made some big signings last summer that they believed would help the club challenge for a Champions League spot and maybe add some silverware to the cabinet.

One arrival that was made was that of Robert Sanchez – who was no longer wanted at Brighton and was quickly signed up by the Blues as they were desperate to add a new stopper to the side.

He has been a massive part of that side this season – but he is not seen as a man that is good enough to play for one of the big Premier League clubs and has really struggled to impress.

It is reported that they are preparing for life after Costa and are resigned to him leaving following years of speculation. He could cost over £65million having established himself as one of the best in Europe.

Now Pedro Mendes, speaking to BoyleSports who offer the latest Premier League betting, said: “Diogo Costa made a save against Slovenia which was incredible and ensured Pepe’s Portugal career didn’t end in a mistake which means so much.

“If that was a goal then of course Pepe’s mistake will be connected to that forever, it would’ve been devastating for him and for me as well because Pep is a fantastic man and didn’t deserve that.

“Diogo is a great goalkeeper and I think he’s ready for the Premier League. He has everything that the Premier League demands from a goalkeeper – but it will have to be with a very top team.

“With Ederson talking to Saudi Arabia, I think CHELSEA would be a great move for Diogo. He has been used to that pressure at Porto…”
