Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from us that we think you guys may have missed –

Liverpool’s decision over Kylian Mbappe has reportedly handed Chelsea a real transfer boost.

The France forward is out of contract in June 2024 and free to negotiate with foreign clubs from January 1 as the French giants have been unable to agree a new contract with the attacker.

The club have been linked with a move for the Frenchman in recent months, but it is believed that Real Madrid are winning the race to sign the Frenchman at the end of the season, and Liverpool are the other side that are favourites for the man.

However – transfer guru Florian Plettenberg has now reported that the Reds are not targeting the 24-year-old – Writing on X, Florian Plettenberg said: “Been told that Liverpool is NOT pushing for Kylian #Mbappé.

“His transfer in summer 2024 ist not an issue at this stage. #LFC.

“#PSG, still totally relaxed as they are financially secured (contractually) for his possible departure. Real Madrid is still the most realistic destination for him, either next year or the year after.”

The fact that Mbappe is out of contract at the end of the season means that he will have his pick of clubs, so if Liverpool dont want him and Real Madrid cannot afford him, we will have a very good chance of getting a deal done.

However – we are certain that he does not want to come to the Premier League, so it will be interesting to see just what happens in the coming months if Madrid do not manage to wrap up a transfer deal.

VLAHOVIC DECISION –

Journalist Ekrem Konur has opened up and claimed that CHELSEA target Dusan Vlahovic has made a decision about leaving Juventus.

With the club looking to add a proven top-level striker to that attack over the next couple of windows – and according recent reports Chelsea are ‘one of three teams’ to ‘submit an offer’ for the striker

In the 2020/2021 season, Vlahovic broke into the Fiorentina first team and scored his first goal for the club in September 2020. He went on to score 20 goals in the league, making him the top scorer for Fiorentina and the second-highest scorer among all Serie A players under the age of 21.

This impressive feat earned him the recognition of Serie A’s Best Young Player award for the 2020/2021 season.

That earned him a mega money move to Juventus, but it has not worked out quite like he had hoped for and the Italians have not seen the goal-scoring return that they paid £66 million for

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

Vlahovic has rediscovered his prolific touch in front of goal and a report in Italy claims Boehly is now ready swoop for the 23-year-old in January with an offer that Juventus may be unable to turn down.

But according to Konur – Vlahovic will not be leaving the Italians and will instead look to sign a new contract at the Seria A giants.

He posted on X: ‘Dusan Vlahovic is about to accept Juventus’ contract extension offer despite interest from Premier League clubs.’

IVAN TONEY UPDATE GIVEN –

Thomas Frank expects CHELSEA target Ivan Toney will still be a Brentford player come the end of the January transfer window.

Despite not being part of that Brentford squad this season because he has been banned – there has been alot of transfer talk regarding the long-term future of Ivan Toney, who is one of the best in the Premier League.

Toney netted 20 Premier League goals last season with Brentford’s asking price ranging from £80million to £100million, as he is considered to be one of the best strikers in the English top-flight.

Toney is still serving an eight-month ban for betting breaches but has returned to first-team training and will be free to play again on 17 January.

Now – amid all the speculation and rumours, Frank has opened up and sent a clear message heading into the January window next month: ‘I don’t want to lose him. I hope, and think, he’ll be a Brentford player on February 1,’ Frank told The Standard.

IcChelseanews Opinion –

If Toney wants to be considered one of the best strikers in the game, then he needs to make a move to a bigger club. Brentford are a quality side, but they will never play Champions League football or win a trophy.

But we would be surprised to see him leave the Bees in January.
