Chelsea close in on summer deal for hitman as Italians ‘resigned’ to selling in summer
Inter Milan are reportedly resigned to losing striker and Chelsea target Lautaro Martinez this summer after struggling to meet his wage demands.
It is no secret that Frank Lampard is keen to improve this side with some big time signings, and reports in the media have suggested he will indeed get the £200 million it will take to sign some top-class, big-time names players in the summer, with a striker on the list
Olivier Giroud is seemingly destined to pack his bags and leave the club at the end of the season having failed to agree a move away in the January window, while Mitchy batshuayi is more of a thirds-choice striker that is only needed when the other two are injured or need to rest.
And it seems that Inter Milan striker Martinez is now on the shopping list of the boss as recent reports on SPORT claimed that we have already made contact with Inter about a possible summer deal for the Argentine hitman.
The striker moved to Milan back in 2018 and has gone onto to be their main talisman this season, netting 16-goals in just 31 appearances, and they are desperate to make sure they get the most money they can.
Now reports on Spanish paper SPORT, claimed that the Argentine striker has rejected a new contract offer from the Italian, as the deal that he has been offered is a fraction what he could earn somewhere else, and he is likely to leave the club at the end of the season.
