Seria A striker ‘especially interested’ in making Premier League move with Chelsea seeking to wrap up deal
Federico Chiesa is ‘especially’ interested in a move to the Premier League, with reports Chelsea are interested in a transfer deal.
The Premier League seasons is surely just a few weeks away from being re-started and finished ahead of the summer window, which will mean that clubs like Chelsea will be able to focus on working on the side.
And that means that Frank Lampard will know if his side are in the Champions League spots, and will also know how much money he will be able to spend when the transfer window opens up.
And although he has an impressive array of talent, there is a feeling in the media that Lampard needs to spend some serious money and add a striker to the front-line, as Tammy ABraham will not be able to do everything himself next season.
Chiesa is being monitored by several top clubs across Europe, with the club also facing competition from Juventus and Inter Milan, as he continues to impress over in Seria A.
Now, according to Italian website Calciomercato, who claim Fiorentina will sanction the winger’s departure providing a ‘rich offer’ is submitted.
We have been linked with the Italy international, who has scored 29 goals and provided 20 assists for the Serie A side, with the report also suggesting Chiesa likes the Premier League and has started taking English lessons in preparation.
while Fiorentina chief Joe Barone insisted the club don’t want to see the 22-year-old versatile forward leave the club, they also won’t force him to stay: “At the moment, unfortunately, everything is blocked, so we can only see and talk when everything is over,” he told Calciomercato when asked about Chiesa’s future.
“Everyone is free to make their own choices. We don’t force anyone to stay, we want players happy to be in Florence, to grow in Florence and to try to achieve important goals with Fiorentina.”
