Chelsea chance to sign Worldie after Barcelona boss opens door for move
Marc-Andre Ter Stegen has been told that he will not be Barcelona’s starting goalkeeper next term, which will alert the likes of CHELSEA, who are reportedly interested in bringing in a new goalkeeper this transfer window.
Current number one Robert Sanchez not only lifted the Club World Cup trophy on Sunday evening but also the Golden Glove award, given to the standout goalkeeper over the course of the tournament.
But the Blues have expressed interest in signing a new goalkeeper and Ter Stegen is a player that has been on the radar of the Blues for the past few windows, but the German has always maintained that he would like to stay at the Spanish giants.
But the German was told by his compatriot and manager Hansi Flick that he would not be the No1 for the Catalan side this coming season, with Joan Garcia arriving from Espanyol earlier in the window.
Spanish outlet Cadena SER claim that Ter Stegen is furious with the decision, but still does now want to leave the club and would like to stay and fight for his place in the side, but Barca are open to the idea of letting the big man leave.
IcChelseanews Says…
Many Blues fans will say that they are happy with Sanchez, especially after his performances at the club world cup, but if you look over the past 12 months, we could use somebody just a little better.
