Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed –

Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano has given CHELSEA a boost in their chase to sign Napoli star Victor Osimhen.

The club have spent some crazy money over the last couple of transfer windows and brought players to the club that they hoped would get the side competing for the big titles.

They even have one of the best managers in the game and a man that has been tipped to be a real success at Stamford Bridge – but their start to the new season has brought up some worrying displays, and questioned the clubs transfer policy.

That has led to reports in the media that we could try and make a move for Osimhen in the January window, a man that they wanted to sign in the summer window and a striker that is easily regarded as one of the best in the game.

He has been in contract talks with Napoli for quite some time now, but has been unable to agree a new contract as the Italians are playing hard-ball and do not want to offer him the kind of deal that he feels he fully deserves.

However, De Laurentiis has described as a “change of mood” from Osimhen and he is all set to agree a new contract at the Italians.

But Osimhen very much looks like one to watch for summer 2024, according to Romano: “I’m not sure they are that close to signing a new deal. Napoli like to use the media to put some pressure – they are trying with the best proposal of their history, higher than the likes of Cavani or Higuain had in recent years,” Romano said.

“But from what I’m hearing there is no full agreement. It’s not a done deal. I think the opportunity for Osimhen to leave in summer 2024 remains really concrete. I don’t think January is realistic, but there could be a summer move.”

TAH WANTED –

CHELSEA are plotting a move for another centre-back, with Bayer Leverkusen star Jonathan Tah now on the shopping list.

Everybody doubted that Thiago Silva would be able to compete at the level he has over the past 15 years because of his age – and many believed he could not handle the Premier League.

However – that has not been the case and he has been one of the best central defenders in the Premier League – and a real leader for the Blues ever since he arrived at the club.

But there is a massive feeling that this will be his last season at the London club and he will seek a move back to his homeland, where he has dreams of playing until he officially hangs up his boots.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

The west Londoners are looking for a long-term replacement for Thiago Silva and journalist Christian Falk reports that 27-year-old Tah is the latest to come onto their radar

However, there is a chance that Brazilian veteran Silva will remain at Stamford Bridge, with the club to make a decision over a possible extension in the near future.

The future looks bright for the club, but the youngsters still have alot of months left to learn from one of the best central defenders the game has ever seen, and a man that is a real leader.

Tah is definitely a very good defender that has all the ability to be able to handle the pressures of the Premier League.

GUIRASSY CLAIM MADE

Serhou Guirassy, the talented striker plying his trade with VfB Stuttgart, emerges as a compelling signing for CHELSEA, according to reporter Iomie Stanley.

Reports in the media that we could try and make a move for Victor Osimhen in the January window, a man that they wanted to sign in the summer window and a striker that is easily regarded as one of the best in the game.

He has been in contract talks with Napoli for quite some time now, but has been unable to agree a new contract as the Italians are playing hard-ball and do not want to offer him the kind of deal that he feels he fully deserves.

However – it has been revealed in recent days that Osimhen is closing in on signing a new contract with Napoli – meaning that it will be very difficult for us to get a deal done for the man, and Guirassy is now reportedly on the list.

Osimhen

The 27-year-old has been one of the standout performers in the Bundesliga this season with 15 goals and is only behind Harry Kane in the scoring charts of the Bundesliga.

Couple that with his astonishingly low £15.1m release clause and it seems certain that offers from the club will arrive in the January window and take him to that next level in the game.

Reporter Iomie Stanley said: ‘One of the standout reasons for considering Guirassy as a valuable addition to Chelsea is his physical presence. Standing at 6 feet 2 inches tall, the French forward possesses an imposing stature that makes him a formidable force in aerial duels.

‘Chelsea, despite having a diverse attacking unit, lacks a towering striker who can be a reliable target for crosses and set-pieces. Guirassy’s ability to dominate in the air could provide the Blues with a different dimension in their attacking approach, especially when faced with well-organized defenses.

‘Guirassy’s goal-scoring record is another factor that makes him an attractive prospect for Chelsea. Known for his clinical finishing and composure in front of goal, the striker has consistently found the back of the net throughout his career. His capacity to score different types of goals – be it with his feet or head – aligns with Chelsea’s need for a versatile and reliable goal-scorer. In a league as competitive as the Premier League, having a player like Guirassy who can consistently convert chances into goals is a valuable asset.

Versatility is a key trait that Guirassy brings to the table. While primarily a center-forward, he is capable of playing in various attacking roles, including as a second striker or even on the flanks. This flexibility aligns with Chelsea’s tactical fluidity under Mauricio Pochettino, where players are often required to adapt to different positions and roles within the team.

‘Guirassy’s ability to operate in multiple attacking positions could provide Pochettino with tactical options, allowing the team to maintain unpredictability in its offensive strategies.

‘Additionally, Guirassy’s work rate and ability to contribute defensively make him a well-rounded player. His willingness to track back, press opponents, and link up with midfielders could make him an ideal fit for Pochettino’s system, where every player is expected to contribute both offensively and defensively.

‘In terms of age, Guirassy is entering the prime years of his career, making him a player with a balance of experience and potential for further improvement. CHELSEA, a club known for its strategic approach to transfers, could see Guirassy as a long-term investment capable of making an immediate impact.’
