Chelsea ready to offer big contract as superstar target opens up about summer exit
Chelsea target Edinson Cavani has addressed his future in an interview with Paris Saint-Germain’s official magazine, and he is leaving his options open.
We are one of the most exciting young sides in Europe right now and have some of the best talents in the game to excite us on a weekly basis, when there is actually football.
We may have the likes of Tammy Abraham up top, but there is alot of speculation that the likes of Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi may leave the club in the summer, meaning that we will need to find an adequate replacement.
Now, amid all the speculation, he has spoken out about his future on the PSG magazine: “My career will last for maybe several years still, here or elsewhere, I don’t know,” he said.
“I’ve spoken about it a lot with my entourage. I’ve always said that I would like to quit football rather than football quitting me. “I’d really like to finish having given everything. To get to that point where I’d say, ‘Guys, this is the point where I have to go.’
“I don’t want life to lead me to play when I wouldn’t be capable of giving my best. The day will come where it will be obvious that the time’s come to move on to something else.”
Cavani may not be the same striker that he was just a few seasons ago, but the man is still world class and if there is a chance to get him on the books, we should definitely take it.
He will add experience, quality, a winning mentality, leadership and the ability to score goals when we need it. We are big fans of Cavani and he would be a great signing for us.
