Chelsea target Dani Carvajal ‘has Premier League dream’ with Real Madrid exit on cards?
Dani Carvajal has told the likes of Chelsea ‘that he dreams of playing in the Premier League’
Regarded as one of the finest right-backs in world football, Carvajal has been linked with a move to the Premier League for a number of transfer windows, as we see him as the ideal long-term replacement for Cesare Azpilicueta.
He is considering his future at the Bernabeu after falling down the pecking order after the Spaniards splashed the ash and signed Alvaro Odriozola for £40m last summer, as he fears that his game may become even more limited over the course of the next twelve months.
And he has alerted the Premier League to a possible deal after admitting that it is a dream to play in the English League.
He was quoted on the Metro website:,‘I would love to play in the Premier League.
‘It’s an experience that I would love to have and I don’t want to be left cursing not having experienced it.’
Now Carvajal has a contract at Madrid until 2022, but with a number of changes expected to arise next summer, reports have claimed Madrid could accept anything between £40-60 million for the Spanish international.
Would he be welcome here at Chelsea?
There answer is yes he would.
He is only 26-years of age and still has plenty of time to develop into the best right-back in world football, and under the guidance of Maurizo Sarri, we believe he would flourish and reach his full potential.
However, with so many clubs interested in a potential deal, Madrid know they can ask for silly money and that may put us off as he is not worth more than £50 million.
But if he goes for that price then I implore Sarri to make a move, he would add even more quality to our squad.
