Chelsea have now ‘taken the first steps’ in trying to sign AC Milan winger Suso during the January transfer window, according to reports.
The 24-year-old previously spent three years with Liverpool, making 14 Premier League appearances, but failed to make any sort of impact on the Reds squad and he was eventually sold to the Italian giants.
Since his move to Milan however, he has transformed and developed into a real class act and his performances in Seria A have been nothing but remarkable over the past few seasons, backing up his impressive numbers from last season with three goals and seven assists already this campaign.
And according to the Daily Express website, Sarri has already put the wheels in motion to secure Suso’s signature by telling the board that he wants to acquire the Spaniard in the January transfer window for a fee of around £34 million, which is currently the clause in Suso’s contract.
The player himself is happy at the club and also wants to pen fresh terms with the Rossoneri, but Milan are reportedly willing to listen to offers for the Spaniard and will accept an offer if they feel it is too good to turn down
The Spaniard would be seen as an alternative to Eden Hazard, who is seemingly on his way out of the club with constant speculation that he would like a move to Real Madrid at the end of the season, with the Spanish giants ready to pay around £200 million to acquire his services.
Would Suso be a good buy for the club?
The answer is yes he would, and at the age of just 24 he has time to develop into a real class winger and help fill the void that Hazard may leave if he departs the club.
Suso already adds goals and assists to his game, and if he improves on a few areas, he would be a great buy for us, especially for just the £34 million he is going for.
