Maurizio Sarri opens up on future of Chelsea superstar Hazard, with contract offered to Real Madrid target
Maurizio Sarri has admitted Eden Hazard has not decided on whether he will stay at Chelsea or make the move to Real Madrid in the summer.
Hazard has been the outstanding player for the club this season and Sarri has relied heavily on his goals to keep us in the chase for a top four spot and Champions football for next season, but his great performances for the club have kept Madrid on high alert for a possible deal come the summer.
[the_ad id=”164″]Hazard has even admitted on a number of occasions this season that he is very interested in a move to the Bernabeu at the end of the season, with some claims it is his dream to play for Madrid.
And Sarri has given fans an update on the situation involving the Belgian, he told the Sky Sports website: “He’s not decided yet if he wants to stay here or if he wants a new experience in another club. I don’t know exactly the situation, but I think Eden at the moment doesn’t know the final choice.
“Sometimes. I prefer him when he speaks with his feet.
“I think he said that coaches told him that he needs to do more. I think that he has to do more, because the potential is higher than the performances, I think.
“He has to respect, first of all, himself. He has to do more.”
Can we keep hold of Hazard next summer?
Hazard is brilliant and loves the club, as we love him. But if Madrid do come calling with the right amount of money, then we would be shocked to see him stay with the club as all indications suggest he wants that big move to La Liga.
We would love him to stay, but we have to be realistic.
