Maurizio Sarri says Callum Hudson-Odoi would be making the wrong decision if he chooses to make the move to Bayern Munich.
The talented 18-year old winger has become a top transfer target for the Bundesliga giants this season, with reports they have made three offers to take him to Germany, with the third, a £30 million offer which has been left on the table.
Reports have even suggested that Odoi is understood to be keen on a move to the Bundesliga, after seeing fellow Englishman Jadon Sancho adapt so quickly.
But Sarri has urged him to turn it down, as it would be a massive mistake for him to leave, he told the Sky Sports website: “I don’t think so, because he is an English player.
“He is very young, he has the future. He has a very great future here in England, with the national team and Chelsea. To stay here is better for him.”
“I am not in charge of these questions and I do not want to speak to a player about something that doesn’t depend on me.”
Shoul Odoi stay put?
The lad has a lot of potential and will clearly become a top winger for us in the coming seasons, but he cant expect to just walk into a side that is already full of superstars and will have to earn his place in the side.
So even though a move to the Bundesliga would be a massive challenge, it would be the wrong move as there is no guarantee that he would get any game time at Bayern, especially since he has not proven himself over here in the Premier League just yet.
Sarri is right and Odoi would be making a huge mistake by leaving us so early into his career, as Stamford Bridge is the best place for him to be right now, especially under the guidance of Sarri.
