Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri has told Callum Hudson-Odoi he has the potential to be one of Europe’s best players.
The talented 18-year old has been in the headlines over the last few weeks with constant speculation that Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich are just one of a number of German clubs that are interested in trying to sign the lad.
But Sarri has hinted he has no intention of letting the winger leave by admitting Odoi has the talent to be one of the best wingers in world football.
Sarri said on the Sky Sports website: “He is a very good player, the potential is for becoming a great player, and now he has to improve.
“He has to improve I think in movement without the ball. As a winger, he has to improve in the defensive phase, but he has the potential to become a very important player, not only for English football I think but for European football.”[the_ad id=”164″]
Will Odoi develop at Chelsea?
The 18-year old has bags of potential and it is easy to see why so many clubs are hoping to sign him up in the next month, but he has to be careful as the wrong decision could just see his career take a heavy nose dive.
He needs to stay here and see how the next six months before deciding whether or not to leave, as we have a number or world class players that could stop him getting the game time he needs.
The lad clearly has real ability and could be a world class winger, he just needs the game time to develop.
