Powerful £60M star to be priority for new Chelsea owner Boehly

Ex-Chelsea striker Demba Ba believes Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly should be a priority target under incoming owner Todd Boehly.

Boehly’s ownership group, which includes Hansjorg Wyss, Mark Walker and investment firm Clearlake Capital, have agreed a deal worth around £4.25 billion to purchase the west London club.

And that has led to many reports in the media suggesting that Chelsea will look to reignite their interest in Koulibaly – now that Antonio Rudiger will be leaving the club during the course of the transfer window

Area Napolisuggest Ramadani reckons Chelsea offer Koulibaly the best combination of pay packet and Champions League football.

And asked if the club should step up their Koulibaly hunt, Ba said: “One hundred per cent. One thousand per cent. He has that stature. He can support pressure, bear in mind he plays for Senegal and plays for Napoli.

“He can handle the pressure. He’s good as a football player and a top lad.”

Look, Rudiger is leaving the club – that is a fact – so going out, spending £60 million and bringing Koulibaly to the club would be a very smart decision from the club

The man is great in the air, quick, powerful and can hold his own when it comes downs to playing out from the back.

So we would love to see Koulibaly at the club at the end of the season, he could be the ideal man to replace the German star

However, we would much prefer that Boehly somehow convinced Rudiger to stay right?
