Board have made decision about possible Chelsea signing of Declan Rice
Declan Rice to Chelsea is increasingly unlikely with claims the Blues board having reservations about his abilities.
We have done some wonderful transfer business already this summer and have built quite a squad, but there is a big feeling that they still want to add rice to the side before the end of the transfer window
The England international Rice made his 100th league appearance for the Hammers last Saturday in their season opener against Newcastle, which they lost 2-0, but he is regarded as one of the finest holding midfielders in the game.
But according to transfer guru David Ornstein, there are said to be doubts within the club that he is technically good enough to rejoin, having been released as a kid, and add that to the fact that West Ham are determined to keep hold of the 21-year-old, we have a fight on their hands.
Only a huge offer could tempt them into a rethink but with the hierarchy harbouring doubts and having spent over £200m already this summer, a massive offer is not expected to arrive before the end of the transfer window.
Look, Rice has proven himself over the past couple of seasons to be a classy Premier League players, and there are many out there that are keen to try and get a deal done, they just do not have the funds to make a move.
Is he good enough to come to the club and walk straight into the first team? Probably not guys.
