Eden Hazard is not contemplating a mid-season move away from Chelsea, according to his brother Thorgan Hazard.
It is no secret Hazard is on the radar of Real Madrid after sold Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus in the summer transfer window, and were linked with a move before the season started, especially since the £170 million rated Belgian was open to the idea of signing for the Spanish giants.
Hazard has constantly come out and admitted that his dream is to one day win the Champions league and Ballon D’or titles before his playing days are over, and a move to La Liga would give him the best opportunity to achieve those goals, considering both have been dominated by Barcelona or Madrid over the past few seasons.
But then Maurizio Sarri became boss and ultimately convinced Hazard to stay and try to help us get back into the Champions League for next season, as well as challenge for the Premier League title.
However, there has been some fresh speculation that Madrid are ready to swoop in this coming January transfer window and try to seal a £200 million offer for Hazard after his great start to the new season.
But Thorgan has told Blues fans not to worry, as Eden will not be leaving in the coming transfer window, telling the Sky Sports website: “I think Eden will see what happens at the end of the season.
“I know him. He’s not thinking about a move right now.” (Read full article)
Bayer Leverkusen star Leon Bailey has admitted Chelsea were chasing him during the summer transfer window, reports have revealed.
The 21-year-old is one of the most promising young forwards in Europe and was wanted by several top clubs in the summer after having another impressive campaign for the Germans.
And new boss Maurizio Sarri was one of the men that were reportedly interested in trying to nail down his signature, as the Italian looked to add a bit more pace, skill and creativity to the side ahead of the new Premier League season.
But Bailey explained it was not the right time to make such a big move and opted to sign a big contract in the summer to commit his long-term future with the club.
‘Manchester United, City, Chelsea, Liverpool – a lot of clubs were interested,’ Bailey told FourFourTwo.
‘But the most important thing as a pro is taking things a step at a time and not rushing to the top too quickly. Because once you get there, where do you go next?
‘I believe the right timing is important, and it was the right moment to be at Bayer Leverkusen. They are a tremendous club with so much history.
‘A lot of good players have come from there; they can get into the Champions League and are always doing well. So why not them? ‘It was the perfect move for me and I’m happy I made it. My focus isn’t really on moving anywhere yet.
‘I’m just about what’s happening right now rather than what could happen in the future. I’m still learning.’ (Click to read full article)
Chelsea have now ‘taken the first steps’ in trying to sign AC Milan winger Suso during the January transfer window, according to reports.
The 24-year-old previously spent three years with Liverpool, making 14 Premier League appearances, but failed to make any sort of impact on the Reds squad and he was eventually sold to the Italian giants for a small fee.
But since his move to Milan he has become one of the most exciting and creative wingers in Seria A and his performances for the Italian side have alerted Maurizio Sarri to a possible £34 million deal.
It is no secret that Sarri is still keen to improve in certain areas of the pitch this coming January transfer window, and the Spaniard would be seen as an alternative to the ageing Pedro and the Barcelona linked Willian, with reports emerging which have claimed his agent has already met with the Spaniards to discuss a possible move to the Nou Camp this January transfer window.
Suso has a contract running until June 2022, but the TMW website has claimed Sarri’s already put the wheels in motion to secure Suso’s signature by allowing Willian to discuss a possible switch to Barcelona this coming transfer window.
Willian was convinced to stay in the summer transfer window by the Italian boss, but has not made the kind of impression on the side that Sarri expected and now he is willing to let the Brazilian leave, if Barcelona can meet the £70 million price tag we have currently set. Chelsea star Pedro has hailed Real Madrid target Eden Hazard as the clubs most important player.
Hazard has started the new season in fantastic form and already has nine goals to his name in all competitions, helping Maurizio Sarri to an unbeaten start to life in the Premier League.
It follows a very impressive campaign last season, in which the Belgian winger hit seventeen goals and scored the winner in the FA Cup final against Manchester United, which gave Antonio Conte his second title in English football in two seasons.

But Pedro has admitted that Hazard is the most important player at the club, amid speculation that he could yet sign a new contract with the club and ignore a possible move to La Liga.
“He’s the most important player here. He’s a star for us,” he told Chelsea TV.
“Eden is playing very good. It’s very good news for us that he’s in very good form.”
