Auba to Chelsea this summer? this is what we have been told about possible £20 million deal
Arsenal are unlikely to let Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leave the club for Chelsea in the upcoming summer transfer window, claims ESPN pundit Ian Darke
Aubameyang has been in the headlines alot over the past few weeks with reports suggesting that he is leaving, that he is not leaving, that he will sign a contract, that he will not sign a contract, which has frustrated Arsenal fans
It is believed that Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona lead the chase fr his signature in the summer, but there has also been some claims in the media which have suggested that wemay look to try and swoop in and land him for around the £20 million mark.
It was no secret that Frank lampard was keen to add another striker or two to the attack in the summer window, and a move for Auba had been seen as a real bargain, that was before we agreed a deal for Werner.
However, despite all the Premier League interest fromusESPN pundit Ian Darke believes Arsenal would avoid letting Aubameyang join a Premier League rival even if Frank Lampard’s side meet Arsenal’s reported £20million valuation.
“Chelsea could afford him, but would Arsenal let him go to a direct London rival like Chelsea? Probably not,” Darke told ESPN
“Chelsea certainly mean business, they’ve got Tammy Abraham up front an England international, but Aubameyang could play on the left, too. You can’t rule anything out in football, I’d be a bit surprised if it was to Chelsea, though.”
Look, we cannot rule anything out and we have seen over the years that players are willing to switch between rivals clubs, so if the valuation was met, Aubameyang asked for a move and Arsenal had an adequate replacement, this is a move that could happen.
But we do no longer need the man.
