Dion Dublin says West Ham would be severely weakened if Chelsea target Marko Arnautovic left the club in the coming transfer windows.
With the club seemingly keen to acquire a new striker during the January transfer window, boss Maurizio Sarri has been linked with a shock move for the powerful Hammers star.
It is no secret that we are struggling up top as Alvaro Morata and Oliveir Giroud cannot find the net on a regular basis, meaning Eden Hazard has had to keep the goals coming for the side to keep winning.
And after the Austria forward had suggested he was ready to leave West Ham in order to chase his dream of playing Champions League football, Dublin has claimed he would be missed by the Hammers if he did leave the club.
“West Ham would be hindered if they were to lose him, he would be a massive loss” the former Man Utd striker told The Debate.
“He is not just a goalscorer, it is his character and leadership as well.”
Could Arnautovic be a good striker for Chelsea? Here is what we think.
At 29-year of age, Arnautovic seems to be getting better with age and could be a better alternative to the struggling Morata and Giroud But if we seriously want to challenge for more than just the Premier League title over the next few seasons, then we need to buy a forward that is more likely to net 20-30 goals a season rather than the 10-15.
